Who this is for

Puchong Cafe is a directory of 100 cafe businesses in Puchong, built for locals hunting a new regular spot and for visitors who want somewhere decent without gambling on a random search result. It’s a working reference, not a fan page. Every cafe on here gets treated the same way: pulled from the same data sources, judged against the same published standard, and updated on the same schedule.

Where the listings come from

Each entry starts with public business information: address, hours, contact details, the basics you’d expect to find correct. Alongside that, we synthesise what recent Google reviews are actually saying, the recurring praise, the recurring complaints, how consistent the experience seems to be over time. We do not copy or republish review text. Instead, we summarise the pattern and link out to the business’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself if you want the full picture.

How the ranking actually works

Rankings come from a published rubric applied to the data we collect, nothing else. There’s no call you can make, no form to submit, no invoice that moves a cafe up the list. The full scoring criteria are laid out on our methodology page, so you can check our working rather than take our word for it.

A business owner can flag and correct factual details on their own listing (a wrong phone number, outdated hours, a moved location). What they can’t do is touch their own score, sentiment summary, or position in the ranking. That stays independent by design.

Sponsorship, kept separate

Some pages carry sponsored placements. These are always labelled “Sponsored,” shown in their own section, and kept apart from the earned ranking. Paying for visibility gets a business seen. It does not change where they land on merit.

Kept current, on purpose

Data across the directory is refreshed monthly. On individual listings you’ll see a “last verified” stamp, which is our way of showing the maintenance is actually happening rather than assumed.

Who’s behind it

This directory is published by Sarah, a food blogger covering Puchong’s dining scene since 2015. She maintains the rubric, oversees how listings are scored, and signs off on the rankings you see here. The goal is straightforward: give people searching for a cafe in Puchong a list they can actually trust, built from checked and verified information rather than whoever shouts loudest or pays most.
